President Obama tells us that both parties must put their differences behind them and
come together to restore the U.S.economy. However, both parties locked hands in the passing of the NAFTA and GATT trade agreement
that stole our jobs from us. And both parties continue to ignore the major issues of our times.
Free trade as failed.
Our economy based on making money on money instead of making things has burn out. The magic money products have
backfired. Still, President Obama elects to bail out the money changers that caused the problems and put them back in
charge. Who would have ever thought that a Democrat president would bail out big money and marry it to big government while
ignoring the suffering of workers who lost their jobs or need government assistance to survive now.
Money
changers in both parties take advantage of the subsidies to isolate markets and fracture the free enterprise system.
Both parties use big government as a broker and dealer for big money interests.
Both parties have participated
in programs that move our production outside the USA. It started a long time ago. The federal government sponsored the
moving of factories outside of the USA starting in 1956. These "temporary" programs never ended. Instead they
evolved into the maquiladora factories in Mexico which led the way to the consummation of free trade.
Both parties
played their part in the devaluation of workers and labor and a new working poor class was created. Economic and jobless measurement
do not add up with the realities of the streets. It took Hurricane Katrina to expose a vast underclass living in a silent
depression not only in New Orleans but across the whole United States. There are really no red or blue states to depict
the party running the show. They take turns. They follow scrambled statistics that don't add up with one-half of all human
resources in America not being used. Many workers are missing in action from any kind of real reporting of data. The
term underemployment has losts its meaning while millions of workers do not make enough money and need government assistance
to survive. Even a single mother making only a $100 a month is considered employed. While this was happening our government
sends billions of dollars to foreign countries like Mexico to save the peso and the Mexican economy. This is the end
result of moving more than 4,000 U.S. factories to Mexico. The first stimulus package when to Mexico.
Both parties
participated in the destruction of local value added ceonomies. Every time a factory is moved it leaves a burn out community
behind. Production is mobile, ready to move again and again for the sake of cheaper labor and big money interests. Even the
factories that were moved to other lands are on the move again leaving more suffering behind than the people were experiencing
before the factories came.
Free trade has only made matters worse
(from the Plain Dealer letters to the editor five years ago -fortelling
the economic crisis was on its way.)
There is an untold story behind the illegal immigration story. The first question
to ask is , why did these immigrants come to the United States? They came to seek jobs. Then what happen to the free
trade that was supposed to provide the jobs in Mexico?
The massive migration of workers demonstrates that free
trade has failed. The United States has moved more than 4,000 factories to Mexico to save the Mexican economy since 1956,
including more than 2,000 that were moved since the NAFTA trade agreement was passed in 1993. ( Both parties locked hands
in the passing of both NAFTA and GATT. Even people like Rush Limbaugh locked hands with President Bill Clinton and a Democrat
controlled congress in the passing of these trade agreements. See
......Obviously, the exporting of our factories to Mexico ( and other lands ) did not work, and after
getting NAFTA passed, President Bill Clinton had to rush billions of dollars to Mexico to save the peso. ( The first part
of our bail outs went to Mexico back in 1994 and should have warned the world about the things that were to come.)
In
the end, an impoverished, destitute working class was created in Mexico, and a working-poor class was created in the United
States. NAFTA proved to be a Trojan horse. Illegal immigration speeds up the race to the bottom for workers,
and workers' dignity is crushed in both countries - ( with drugs now being the major commodity being traded
), - while globalists free traders call for the same.
Franklin Roosevelt said economic diseases are highly
communicable. Today, they are an epidemic in more ways than one. .....( As our economies based on making money on
money instead of making things are burning out. )
